Is the fabric sheer?
As this is a Cotton Double Gauze, there is more opacity versus a single layer gauze. That said, all pant styles have been tested for opacity and tops in lighter colours such as Blanc may have a bit of transparency so we recommend a nude coloured bra.
How does Cotton Gauze compare to Linen?
Cotton double gauze has the airy feel of summer linen, but with a softer hand and a naturally relaxed texture. Because of it's natural crinkle it embraces wrinkles more easily, and is naturally softer without repeated washing. It also releases wrinkles easier. Both fabrics are beautiful and breathable!
Will the Cotton Double Gauze wrinkle?
Cotton Gauze has a natural 'crinkle' finish to it, which is part of the look and makes it much lower maintenance than a crisp cotton poplin or linen fabric. It will wrinkle if crumbled, but it actually looks quite natural and releases wrinkles easily with steam.
Is it good for hot weather?
Yes, it's breathable and designed for wearing in warm weather.
Will it shrink?
Cotton gauze is 100% cotton so there is some natural shrink that occurs on first wash, but it should not dramatically change sizing or fit. That said, we don't recommend putting it in the dryer. Hang to dry and wash on cold.
Is it certified Organic?
Select colours are GOTS certified organic and they include Provence and Eggplant.
Is there 4-way stretch?
No, the garments have no spandex and as it's a woven there is no stretch. The pants have soft elastic waistbands and everything is designed for a relaxed fit, so stick with your usual size unless you're at the top edge of a size, then size up.
