Immediately bought the second colour. I'm going to live in these. They're so soft and comfy for working from home but look great for going out also.

Countdown to Paradise [Pre-Trip Prep]: Call Your People

Countdown to Paradise [Pre-Trip Prep]: Call Your People

Travel Essentials. Encircled creates versatile minimalist clothes with the everyday traveler in mind. Each piece is Made in Canada, out of sustainable, and eco friendly materials.

3 Days pre-trip is a good time to let your close network (I.e. Family/close Friends/Neighbours) know you will be gone for X number of days.

Call / Email your Peeps

Your trip agenda that we made earlier in the week comes in handy to email to close friends and family. You're going to also want to maybe give them a paper copy of that and your important documents. If you live in a house, enlist your neighbours to come by and pick up your mail. Put your newspaper on hold.

Call a taxi/limo to the airport. Search around online for reviews and coupons for discounts.

Call and make appointments for things you need to do before you leave, i.e. haircut, waxing etc etc.

Let your broader network know that you are going to destination Y either via email or Facebook or the like. One of the best things about social media is the 'friend of a friend' connectivity you get. When I'm traveling somewhere I've never been, I seek out other who have been there before, and ask them to intro me to friends that live there or provide reccos. More often than not, people who are travellers LOVE to help other travellers out by rekindling stories of their travels in various countries. For them, it helps rekindle warm memories, and for us, we get word of mouth reviews!

A couple of great online resources for travel reviews/discussions are:

www.flyertalk.com

www.tripadvisor.com
