Spring is in the air... or at least it should be, somewhat soon.
Although many places are not experiencing balmy temperatures yet, it's the ideal time to spring-up your carry-on with a few seasonal pieces.
8 Spring Carry-on Travel Essentials for Women
The 8 essentials for your carry-on:
A HAT
Hats continue to be in for Spring 2015, especially the classic floppy brimmed fedora. This one from Rag & Bone adds a little "Bonnie + Clyde" to your step-off-the-airplane outfit.
A PASSPORT WALLET
The theme of Safari, and adventurer came up often in Spring trend reports. I love this integrated passport-wallet-notebook from Kohls. It's functional with a rugged-chic edge to it.
COMFORTABLE SHOES
I'm still looking for 'THE' perfect mix of comfort + style for travel shoes. I've yet to find it. Most ballet flats are too flat, and the comfortable shoes look borderline orthopaedic. Tieks might just be the answering.
I've been coveting these shoes for at least a year, and in gold they're super versatile. Made from leather with a cushioned instep, these just may be my spring travel foot saviours!
SHIMMERY BRONZER
If you're from Canada, or the Northern US states, you likely spent most of winter huddled inside. As a result, your skin may be looking a little pasty.
This Lucy B Frangipani Bronzer will warm up your skin tone, and add a little moisture at the same time. Made from organic coconuts, and Australian flower essences, this all-in-one can be used on your face, body, and hair. Bonus points: It's under 100ml in size.
A VERSATILE WRAP OR PONCHO
Ponchos and wraps were all the talk of the Spring 2015 runways, as was Scuba Blue -- one of Pantone's picks for Spring. We're loving our Ocean Blue Chrysalis Cardi to fill this need as it can be styled as a scarf, poncho, tunic, cape and more.
GOOD HEADPHONES
No more excuses for bad sound nor hideous headphones inflight. Headphones have meshed with fashion! Meet Frends. These gold toned headphones were made for women's heads. Brilliant.
A PAGE-TURNER BOOK
What I was Doing While you Were Breeding is a memoir by 30-something Kristen Newman. It documents her travels around the world, and resulting 'vacationships'. A guaranteed page turner, that will have you laughing in your seat.
A LARGE TOTE
Gold is well, gold for spring. It's everywhere! I'm digging this Hudson & Bleecker coated canvas tote that is large enough to fit your laptop but chic enough for a night out.
What's in your carry-on this spring?
