What is your return policy?

We have a 14-Day Return Policy. A.K.A "The You-Will-Love-It Promise" on merchandise that has been unworn and in it's original condition.

How can I initiate a return?

If you wish to initiate a return, email contact@encircled.ca with your order# found on your invoice. We'll get back to you within 24 hours on business days and forward instructions on how to return the goods.

Once we authorize the return, we require customers to postmark the shipment within 1 week. If we receive a return postmarked outside the 1-week time period, it will be store credit only. Returns shipped more than 30 days after receiving return instructions will not be accepted and returned to sender.

What shipping courier should I use for the return?

All returns must be shipped back via Canada Post or your National Postal Service. We will not accept shipments from UPS, Fedex, Purolater or DHL or any COD couriers.

What are the shipping costs for a return?

Customers are responsible for paying all shipping costs for returns and exchanges back to us.

We do, however offer a credit on a future order in the amount of the ship back cost, which can be redeemed at anytime within a year of issuance. Just leave a note during checkout that you'd like to apply the credit, or feel free to send us an email.

This credit is capped at $20 per parcel returned to us to a maximum $100 for a one year period. This credit cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. It is issued via a gift card online.

I received a damaged product.

If you have a quality issue with your Encircled design within 60 days of purchase, let us know. We will take it back and send you a replacement or refund your money.

We do not cover normal wear and tear of clothing. Be honest and take care of your Encircled designs when washing and wearing. You’re honest, we’re honest. The world works better in balance.

In the instance of a quality issue, we will pay the return shipping within Canada. Within US, you will have to pay the shipping and we will work out a credit for the amount of the shipping. Encircled is committed to making high quality garments, through working with reputable Canadian apparel manufacturers.

Extended Holiday Return Policy

What is your exchange policy?

We will exchange your purchase for a different size, style, or colour.

Exchange for a different size, colour, style, etc?

If you'd like to exchange your purchase for a different size, style or colour, follow the process below:

1. Contact us at contact@encircled.ca and let us know you'd like to do an exchange.

2. Let us know your order # and we'll provide authorization for your return with return instructions.

3. Purchase the new size/colour/style you wish to exchange for on our website and we will ship it out immediately.

Due to the low levels of stock, limited edition nature of our merchandise and manual processes involved, we cannot hold items waiting for the original item to be returned.

Once we receive your return back, we'll refund it to your original payment method excluding ship fees which are non-refundable. Generally, it takes 3-5 business days to appear on your statement.

What if the item I want to exchange for is out of stock?
If the item, colour or size you wish to exchange is out of stock, you will receive store credit in the form of an online gift card.
Exchange on purchases made during a promotion or with a promo code.
If your original purchase was made during a promotion or with a promo code, and you wish to exchange it, provided the promotion is still ACTIVE on our site and not expired, we can apply it to your exchange. However, if the promotion has expired, it will not be applied.
I received the wrong colour or item.
Oops. Someone might've been recovering from jet lag, and shipped the wrong one. Let us know, by contacting us at contact@encircled.ca and we’ll take care of the rest.
What are the shipping costs for an exchange?

We know paying for shipping is not where you want to spend your money. Us too!

As we're a small business, we try to keep it fair by offering a credit to the Encircled store for the amount it cost you to ship back your return/exchange.

Return credits are capped at $20 per parcel returned to us up to a maximum $100 for a one year period and is issued via e-gift card. This credit cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. The credit is good for 1 year from the date of receipt.

Outbound shipments will be subject to the same ship fees as detailed in the above Shipping Rates chart.

Exchange on an item I received as a gift.

So you’ve received an Encircled design as a gift - lucky you!

If for some reason you’re not happy with your gift or was gifted the wrong size, we’d be happy to return the item in new condition for store credit issued via gift card or make arrangements for the correct size or colour- this way you can get something you’ll really love. Gift Cards + Store Credits

How can I apply a store credit?

To use store credits that have been issued as a gift card, simply enter the code on the checkout page (right hand side).

How can I redeem a gift card?

Gift cards must be redeemed online at www.encircled.ca for Canadians or www.encircled.co if you are from the US or anywhere outside of Canada.

Use code supplied on the gift card at checkout page (right hand side).

What are the terms and conditions on a gift card?

All gift cards are final sale. They are non-refundable, non-redeemable for cash, and not for re-sale. They are a non-negotiable instrument and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. We reserve the right to cancel said card at any time if obtained illegally or through fraudulent means.

Purchases made on the gift card are subject to the same terms and conditions as regular purchases in terms of exchanges and refunds. We do extend our return period to 30 days for purchases to be refunded or exchanged bought with the gift card due to the forward nature of buying gifts.

Refunds in full or for the difference in exchanges are returned to the original gift card, or if not possible, a new gift card.

Gift cards have no additional processing fees, and never expire. Gift cards are reloadable. Taxes are charged on purchase of goods with gift card, not on gift card purchase. Discounts/promo codes may not be applied to the purchase of gift cards. If used, we reserve the right to cancel the order.

What is the story of Encircled?

A former management consultant, who virtually lived in airports and spent most of her weeks up in the air, Kristi started Encircled with a dream of helping women like you travel lighter and do more with less. Frustrated with the lack of versatile clothing that blended style with function with quality fabrics, she started designing it. She believed strongly after years of working in the retail space, that she also wanted her line to be ethically-made, and sweatshop-free.

What are your core fabrics?

Encircled uses thoughtfully selected, premium fabrics. All fabrics used to make Encircled clothing are sustainable blends such as Modal, Tencel and Bamboo.

We use these because they drape beautifully, are soft against your skin while also being low in pilling, resistant to wrinkling/fading/shrinking and, naturally UPF.

Canceling an order

Depending on the time you contact us at contact@encircled.ca and if the package has not gone out yet, we can cancel the shipment.

Unfortunately orders cannot be cancelled after shipping.

What if I need my order super fast?

Need your order ASAP? We are happy to work with you to provide a quote from a different carrier; please contact us at contact@encircled.ca, prior to placing your order.

Does Encircled ship to the US or internationally?

Yes, we totally ship to the US + internationally to many countries.

However, customers from the US and anywhere outside of Canada, must be on our www.encircled.co website to be able to checkout.

Will I have to pay duties for International/US shipments?

Any duties, if incurred, are the responsibility of the buyer. Encircled does not pay duties for customers, nor can we provide estimates on duties.

In general, for US shipments, our products are typically exempt from duties as they are made in Canada, however there are exceptions that occur depending on the customs processing officer. For other countries, typically duties will be levied. 

Encircled does accurately mark the package with appropriate documentation to help expedite the customs process.

How do I track a shipment?

Tracking your shipment couldn’t be easier. Click on the link in your shipping confirmation email and track your package with Canada Post.

Please note that if you've selected "Small Packet" as a shipping option, there is no tracking number.

Package says it's delivered but is nowhere to be seen.

The wrong address was inputed at checkout.

If you've accidentally entered the wrong address on your order, please contact us immediately at contact@encircled.ca to make arrangements. Depending on the time you contact us, the package may not have gone out yet, and then we can cancel the shipment and adjust the address.

If the package has been shipped with the wrong address, there is unfortunately nothing we can do. It will be delivered per Canada Post's standards to the address on the package. We suggest contacting the people at your old address to see if you can retrieve the package or ordering another one with the correct item. There is a chance if the current residents at your old address refuse the package, it will be sent back to us. In this case, we will re-ship the package at your cost.

 

In-Studio Appointments

What is In-Studio Pick Up?

We offer FREE In Studio Pick-up for Toronto/Greater Toronto Area residents. You are also welcome to shop and try on at our studio the latest selection of garments.

Pick-up orders are pre-paid online through our online store, however if you want to try or add on items while in studio, we can process you through our Shopify Checkout via VISA, Mastercard, AMEX or cash.

Simply select, FREE In Studio Pick Up at checkout, and we will email you back to arrange a pick-up time.

Pickups can be arranged within 24 hours of receipt of order, pending stock availability. Please do not select in-studio pick up if you want your item shipped. Items requiring shipping will need payment on ship fees prior to shipping.

How can I book a shopping appointment?

To book an appointment to pick up an in-studio order or shop in studio, please send us an email at contact@encircled.ca or live chat us (found on the bottom right side corner of our website).

We request appointments to be made at least 24 hours in advance due to the multi-nature of our studio.

What are Encircled's hours of operation?

Generally, our lofty studio is open 9am-5pm EST Monday through Friday. Please note that we request appointments to be made before stopping by.

Pre-Orders

What is a pre-order?

A pre-order is buying and paying for a product that is not yet available to ship. In essence, you're putting the product on hold, and it will ship to you as soon as available.

What happens when I make a pre-order?

You will receive a confirmation email of your purchase. Your credit card will be charged the amount in full, and when the design is in-stock, it will be shipped to you and you will receive a shipping notification with tracking information (if you have selected shipment option with tracking).

We generally release pre-orders within 2 weeks of the order receipt date, so you will not be generally waiting longer than 30 days to receive your order. If this or any delivery date changes, we will update you via email.

When will I receive my pre-order?

We do our best to keep customers updated via email about their order status. We will periodically post updates on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/getencircled.

Cancelling a pre-order before it is shipped

No problem! Just Get in touch with us at contact@encircled.ca and reference your Order# found on your confirmation email.

We will promptly cancel and the refund will go back on the original credit card used for payment.

What happens if I got a promotional deal on one item because I ordered another, and want to cancel one of the items?

Unfortunately, pre-order promotions tied to multiple purchases (I.e. Buy X, save A% on Y) are linked and returning or cancelling one item will negate the promotion.

If I order items with pre-order items, what will ship with what, and when?

If you order an in-stock item with a pre-ordered item, the items will be placed on hold to be shipped together.

Fit Advice: The Chameleon Maxi Skirt fits true to size. The wide waistband ensures no ‘muffin top’. However, if you are a bit smaller on the top and wish to wear it as a strapless dress, we recommend sizing down because the drawstring to adjust the length is in the hem. Hemming The Chameleon Maxi Skirt would be difficult.

Fit Advice: The Regular Chrysalis Cardi is a one size fits most garment ranging from sizes XS-XXL or 2-14. It can be easily belted in multiple ways, however the Regular is not recommended for petite or shorter woman due to the volume of fabric - See Petite Cardi. The Regular is also not recommended for curvier/taller women due to fabric pulling around the bust or bottom - See Maxi Cardi.

We recommend watching the how-to wear videos to see how much fabric drape and length you would like in your finished garment. If you are in between sizes, it is best to size up and the garment can always be tailored shorter to better suit your look - you cannot add more fabric unfortunately!

The Petite is best suited for women 5'4" and under with a smaller frame, although it will also work on women above this height (depending on preferred length when styled). 

The Maxi is best suited for all women under 6’0” with a curvier shape to eliminate any uncomfortable fabric pulling, although it will also work on women who are a bit less curvy (depending on preferred length when styled).

Fit Advice: We recommend staying with your usual size if you are in between sizes. The cut on The Dressy Sweatpants is more generous and the fit is meant to be drapey and slightly harem. Therefore, it's better if they don't fit snug.

Fit Advice: The fit of The Evolve top is drapey but tapers towards the hip. It tends to fit large. We recommend for you to size down from your normal size if you are unsure. The fabric on The Evolve top has a natural stretch that will stretch to fit within ~1-2" of the measurements shown.
