Winter is the time of year I go through a ton of candles

Maybe it's because I live in a condo and I feel like lighting a candle is the condo "fireplace".

However, I can't deny it. I love the smell of a vanilla candle!

I'm not afraid to invest in good candles. You should note that many candles are toxic to humans and pets. {Read more on this here}

I typically burn soy-based or beeswax candles. Many of which come in beautiful glass containers!

As I ran down a candle tonight, I was wondering... should I recycle this beautiful container?

Heck no. Let's re-use it!

This is the EASIEST DIY ever.

{1} Burn the candle to the bottom. While still warm, scoop out (carefully) any remaining wax.

{2} Wash and wipe down the inside of the candle. Remove the wick holder (should slide out).

{3} Dry the inside of the candle. And voila!

I chose to put mine on my desk as a super-chic pencil holder.

Imagine the possibilities... a container for makeup, a potted plant holder, a mini vase, a jar to hold coins you find, a place to store bracelets and rings....

So, next time you're burning a candle low, think of how you can re-purpose the container in your home!

What other ways can you think to re-use this pretty container in your home? Post in the comments below!
